Hand auger equipment

Eijkelkamp hand auger equipment

Durable hand auger equipment for hand drilling until app. 5 meter depth. All drilling bits are made from untreated steel to avoid contamination of the soil samples. Extension rods and accessories are made from electro-galvanized steel. The hand auger equipment is also available in an ergonomic version, which ensures minimum strain on peopling working with it. As standard, this equipment is delivered with bayonet couplings but is also available with conical screw connections.

Edelman auger - clay

As the clay soils are very cohesive, the Edelman clay auger has very narrow blades, having the advantage that they meet with little resistance.

Edelman auger - sand

The Edelman auger for sandy soil has broad blades to keep the sample inside. The friction is medium high due to the blades.

Edelman auger - coarse sand

Coarse sand soils and extremely dry sand soils have little og no cohesion. The blades of the Edelman auger for coarse sand are extended with extra wings, thus forming an almost closed closed.

Edelman auger - stony soil

The Edelman auger for stony soil er formed as an almost closed auger, keeping the sample in soils with a large gravel content. The ponted cutting bits of the strip are bent outward, thus creating a hos some-what wider than the average body diameter.

Riverside auger

The design of Riverside auger makes it very suitable for very hard soils, mixed with fine gravel, both above and below the water table. The very sharp points of the auger are at an angle downwards. This design makes the auger go through the soil easily.

Spiral auger

The spiral auger operates similar to a corkscrew and does not cut off the soil. The auger is usually applied when hard layers need to be penetrated. The auger is seldom used for profile research, as the samples will not be intact.

Handle, ergonomic
